Hammurabi's Code

Today in class, on Thursday, February 21,  we did not take notes so we did something different in class. We were given a paper on Hammurabi's code and we were given a sample of a person's situation. From this sample, we were supposed to decide the punishment for the person. An example of one is, a man who is accused of robbing a home stands before you. After reviewing the evidence, you find that he is guilty of robbery. What will his punishment be? My answer was they should make him work until he pays for the things he stole. Hammurabi's law said that the robber should die because of this crime. There were 6 scenario's like this and we had to answer them with our own answers and compare them to Hammurabi's code.
