The rap compared to the textbook

Mr. Schick's rap summarized everything that was mentioned in the textbook. There are many similar things that you can find in the rap. For example, the rap says "Now Tarquin’s kinda proud, But he got a little loud, They turned around and ran that tyrant outta town." This is when Tarquin became too much of an arrogant leader and did some bad things. The people revolted against him and drove him out of power. This encouraged Rome to stay away from a monarchy. Next, "Patricians and plebeians havin’ some fun." This is referencing when the people split into two groups of people. Patricians were the upper rich people in Rome but were only 2% of the people. Everyone else was a plebian who did not have as much power. Another thing the rap says is, "It’s the start of the rise of Julius C. He grabbed two dudes and he formed a team." This is describing when Julius Caesar formed a triumvirate with Crassus and Pompey. The last comparison is when the rap says "He hit the floor, Next thing you know, Caesar’s no more, more, more, more, more, more, more, more." This is referencing the Ides of March when Caesar got stabbed by Brutus and the Senate.
