Video Day Pt. 5

Today in class, on February 4, we continued watching the video on Jared Diamond and Guns, Germs, and Steel. This part of the video was about how communities advanced by stopping hunting and gathering and starting to make a community. The Gwar is 9,000 years old and was the first place people began functioning and living in a community. Many of the other places that developed are the same latitude of the fertile crescent, which means they have the same climate and vegetation. About 500 years ago there was no cattle or wheat in the Americas at all. Now there is 100 million cattle and 20 tons of wheat being consumed a year. We have a test tomorrow on this video and I am going to use my notes and blogs to study for it and hope I don't fail.
